    I am also researching the Kruel last name, ancestry.com is a pretty good place to start.

    My grandmother is from stuttgart, germany and her grandfather and great grandfathers last name is Kruel too. Christoph Kruel (1845) and Johan Kruel (date?). Good Luck!
